Concert Snapshot
Review by Jeff "a young fan of van halen"
Van halen was my first concert ever and did it rock. Before that i have listened to the newer bands such as linkin park and staind but they do not even compare to van halen such as the drums, guitar, vocals, lyrics... well pretty much everything. I am even doing my part to spread the word of van halen-my friend who has the same taste in music as me i gave him a mix and he was blown away.

anyway w/ the review of the concert it was great i was rockin all the way through my butt was kicked and not to mention my ears were blown out. the interesting parts were when sammy was in light structure thing (whatever that is) over the stage and wolfgang who is about my age and it was REALLY GREAT

i also went to anaheim and san diego and that also blew me away i just hope van halen tours again

The Nations Capital was rocked by the mighty VH Friday night. The band was delayed landing in D.C and basically rushed to hit the stage at the MCI center (bad weather). The place rocked!! as they came out to JUMP which is what I saw them come out to at Hershey. I was very excited to hear Michael Anthony's lead vocal on Somebody Get me a Doctor. The all access 4 star was well worth it!!! I landed in the 5th row. I had an awesome view dead center. I was excited to see Eddie move around so much. His solo was extended by Wolfie's appearance (he looks just like Val in the face). The solo was kick ass. He gave the crowd everything he had. He landed some new very cool riff's. This was a highlight. Pound Cake 5150, Right Now and Aint talking About Love where major high lights. Sammy looked a little scared walking over the crowd for Aint Talking About Love. However the 14,0000 fans loved it!! Sammy is truly a gentleman. He signed everything that was given to him.

Sammy's solo Eagles Fly is always cool .. however he needs to cut Deeper Kind of Love and slide into Finish What you Started!!! The band sounded perfect. They truly where having a good time up there There is nothing greater then The summer, New Vh tune and Van Halen live!!! This show makes you walk away wanting to see them again. I am off to Tampa in September. Hope you enjoy some shots I was able to capture.

Just got home from the show. I will admit I was a bit nervous after hearing all the concerns about Eddie's at times "sloppy" playing.I came away very satisfied. While the crown arrived very late (not even half full for Silvertide)The show was pretty much a sell out, I did see a few nose bleed seats available. The set list was the same as opening night in Greensboro with the exception that Wolfie was there for the solo. That was very cool. I thought Eddie's playing was very solid. Like others have mentioned on previous dates the band seems to be getting along very well. A lot of good inter interaction between the guys. While I did not have the 5 star package I heard the band was delayed by a storm and did not make it in time to play a soundcheck. Sammy even referenced the delays during the show. The 5 star guy I talked with said many were very disappointed. Overall I thought the show was great, Eddie's playing was solid and the guys seems to enjoy everything. Finally, Eddie did spend a lot of time thanking the audience. He must have said 5 or 6 times how happy he was and thankful for all the fans sticking with VH. I was sad to see them only spend 1 night in D.C. Rock on VH.....Rock on!
